C’mon. No rest for the busy this weekend leaving me weak and tired this Monday morning. I shouldn’t complain though as even though the weekend was packed and busy it was a good kind of busy as I spent it all with Lily. She gives me energy and happiness even when I feel drained. What a blessing a daughter can be.
No matter, get her off to school and head out to Long Beach.
Today is the 2nd day of 3 for Open Enrollment at Bayfront Youth & Family Services. What a great group of employees they have from the top on down. They really feel like a family unit all working together towards a common goal…helping where they can in their community. I know it’s redundant to keep talking about my feelings for non-profits, but when you’re working with them it’ll tug at and warm your heart.
The enrollment goes very well. It’s a complicated one this time as we’ve elected to use a Private Exchange (CalChoice) for their medical insurance this year. They already had Kaiser so replacing it with CalChoice makes sense due to the fact that they can keep Kaiser while also adding a few other carriers to the mix. Instead of just two plans from Kaiser alone, they now have 12 options from 5 carriers to choose from allowing each employee to choose an option that fits their individual needs and desires. And at a minimal increase in cost over the last year’s rates.
After that enrollment, I’m heading back home to wrap up some details for my upcoming trip this week and get some much needed rest.
That me for the day.
Super-Agent out.
